Happy Mag covered the new single the week it came out, in a piece by Laragh Michael titled “The Cabbys release ‘A Certain Joy’ – the antidote for bad days.”
“You’d have to be a certain grouch to not love it.”

The article tells the story behind the song. Hans wrote it in 2011 as a love song, put it on a cassette, and kept it in the vault until this release. It also points to the backing vocals, recorded in a beach tunnel, and to the whistling, the egg shakers and the sound of the waves.
The single comes with a cover of The Velvet Underground’s “I’ll Be Your Mirror,” and it is part of the album the band is making for 2027.
